A New Tool for My Parenting Toolbox

Dr. Scott Turansky and Joanne Miller, RN, BSN have done it again. They have created yet another helpful study for families. The Family Toolbox is a valuable study for parents and teens.

The Family Toolbox is an interactive tool, with a video to watch together and a workbook designed for both the parent and teen to use. The goal is to grow in the 16 success principles covered in the eight lessons, focusing on common points such as handling pressure, dealing with anger, and valuing correction.

The lessons are short, so it’s easy for families to incorporate into daily life. Building a 15-20 minute time lot into the schedule is not burdensome. The concepts can be brought into everyday life for greater impact and learning.

The real-life scenarios depicted in the videos happen in household around the nation. The guidance modifying behaviors, building better relationships, and ultimately changing the child’s heart is done thought thoughtfully guided questions for both the teen and the parent. This is a wonderful resource for parents of teens!

I have learned a lot from The National Center for Biblical Parenting in the past. This new resource is yet another tool to place in my in my parenting toolbox. Thank you Joanne and Scott!

Train up a child in the way he should go;
even when he is old he will not depart from it.

      Thank you Ed! I’ve learned a lot from Joanne and Scott. I’m honored to help support the mission of the National Center for Biblical Parenting.
      Thanks also for the encouragement regarding the conference. The 1 Corinthians 13 Parenting team is excited about the event on November 1 in Minneapolis!
