8 Ways to Say Thank You During the Pandemic
Thank you! We as a nation are incredibly fortunate to have so many people on the frontlines caring for us. From first responders and medical professionals to grocers and mail carriers, we are blessed to be supported in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic. And don’t forget the staff at your church. They are working hard with online services and meeting the needs of the congregation.
Make a point of showing your thankfulness. Get your kids involved too. There are great ways to show gratitude for these heroes.
Eight Gratitude Ideas
- Raise the Stars and Stripes! Fly the flag proudly on your home or in a window.
- Write a family thank you note to your local firefighters and police officers.
- Order a sweet treat from a local bakery to be delivered to the police or fire station.
- Fill your windows with paper hearts to show your thanks.
- Place a small gift or thank you note in your mailbox, addressed to the postal carrier.
- Post photos on social media of your family worshipping together during an online service.
- Create a giant thank you note in chalk on your sidewalk or driveway.
- Pray for your community helpers.
Gratitude is an attitude! Model a thankful heart for all the world to see. As children of God, we rest in Him and rely on His provision and protection. Thank the Lord for all our heroes and the blessings of God.
I will give thanks to you, Lord, with all my heart;
I will tell of all your wonderful deeds.
