Avoid rumors and accompanied fears of COVID-19 with accurate and up-to-date information. The sources we choose will heighten our anxiety or quell our trepidation. We all know media outlets differ in approaches, hype, and political bent. Choose wisely, listen well, go to the source, and share the facts. The Centers for Disease Control is the leader in providing updated information for COVID-19 (coronavirus). You will find helpful articles to keep your family healthy including: Steps to Protect Children from Getting Sick, Talking with Children About the Coronavirus, Tips for Parents When School is Out, and other posts.
The American Academy of Pediatrics’ Healthy Children website is extremely helpful and factual for families. The COVID-19 topics range from social distancing to newborn care. The article on special needs parenting is excellent with links to further support your family.
