Building Confidence with Manners Conversation Cards
Do you want to build confidence and self-esteem in your grandkids? Are you looking for a fun way to teach manners? Are you interested in starting a discussion about polite behavior with your grandchildren? When kids know how to behave in social situations, they are confident!
Grandparents, you have more influence over your grandchildren than you may think. Try The Grand Connection: A Game of MANNERS. This game is designed to make etiquette fun. It’s not a list of rules and regulations. Manners are more a matter of respect and love. The goal of good manners is to establish good relationships with family, friends and even strangers.
There have been a number of traditions that have been lost, such as opening doors, pulling out a chair at the table, or standing when a woman enters the room. Niceties speak to respect and love, and not all are old-fashioned. The Bible has a lot to say about the way we treat others too. Use the cards with questions to encourage a dialog on the topic of manners. Simply download the pages, cut the cards, and start a conversation with your grandchildren! Use the additional blank cards to add topics you would like to discuss with your grandchildren.
