The Best of Autumn
The air is crisp, downright chilly in the morning and evening. The moon is full and orange as it rises over the horizon. The days are gradually growing shorter and shorter. Autumn. There’s just something about this time of year, pulling out the crock pot, putting heavier blankets on the beds, and filling the wood box with kindling for the first fire of the season.
This month we’ll share the best of the harvest season in home decorating, recipes using the bounty of farmers markets, and fun crafts for kids. It’s also National Cookie Month, National Pizza Month, and National American Cheese Month. A recipe to celebrate each is in order!
So, I’m off to plant the mums I purchased over the weekend in my window boxes. A few little pumpkins and heads of kale are going in as well, just for color. Have you ever considered what the world would be like if God had made it monochromatic? Just saying…
Join me in sharing the beauty of this beautiful season. Happy autumn, with love from my home to yours!
As long as the earth endures, seedtime and harvest,
cold and heat, summer and winter,
day and night will never cease.
