The HeartCORE Parenting Conference

“The cheese stands alone. The cheese stands alone. Heigh-ho, the derry-o the cheese stands alone.” The “cheese” stood in the center of the circle and the tears began to fall.

My kindergarteners were playing The Farmer in the Dell. The class had sung the song twice through, allowing multiple children to take part. When the child who was the “mouse” chose Peter, he smiled and joined the group in the center of the circle. But when the cheese was left alone, he wasn’t happy. He definitely didn’t want to be standing alone.

It’s a good analogy for parenting. It’s not good to go it alone. We are better together: sharing ideas, supporting, and encouraging. That’s the goal of 1 Corinthians 13 Parenting. The members of the 1C13P team will equip and encourage you as a Christian parent. Lori Wildenberg, my ministry partner, and I have joined with 22 individuals and ministries to provide faith-based, applicable, and practical parenting strategies.
