Spirited Dinner Conversations

Creating spirited dinner conversations around the table with teenage grandkids can be challenging! Conversations are typically a mix of eagerness to talk and possibly debate or a one-word answers punctuated by a nod. Connect and get to know one another better through spirited conversations.

Create Creative Conversations Around Your Dinner Table

Grandma Gail has a terrific solution to the dilemma faced by many grandparents. She uses question cards to get the conversation rolling. Before the family arrives for dinner, she selects a card for each person at the table. Each family member answers the question. Family members are encouraged to delve deeper with more questions. Great discussions follow! Family members learn something new and often connect on a new level.

Gail originally made up her own cards. Store bought question cards have added insightful questions. Question cards can be ordered online or purchased at local bookstores.

A very special thank you to Gail Berger for sharing her thoughts and ideas for connecting with her grandchildren. Carol and I enjoyed our time with Gail!  Information regarding Gail’s ministry, The Blessing House, can be found HERE.
