We give our kids so many things, material things. How about giving gifts to your children that will last a lifetime, eternal gifts?
7 Eternal Gifts of Love on Valentine’s Day
❤Unconditional Love
Loving through the difficult times, accepting others as they are created, and forgiving when necessary shows children they are valued and loved.
Let love be genuine. Romans 12:9a ESV
❤Uncompromising Faith
Lead your children to the foot of the cross through prayer, worship, and scripture. Share your love of Jesus.
He said to them, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these.” Mark 11:14b NIV
❤Ceaseless Prayer
Daily pray with and for your children.
Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. Philippians 4:6NIV
❤Unhurried Time
Quality comes from quantity. Uninterrupted time, without cell phones or media is a gift to a child.
He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the human heart; yet no one can fathom what God has done from beginning to end. Ecclesiastes 3:11 NIV
❤Virtuous Example
Children follow the parent’s lead in speech and actions. Give them a role model worth imitating.
Be wise in the way you act toward outsiders; make the most of every opportunity. Let your conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer everyone. Colossians 4:5-6 NIV
❤Total Trust
Teach your children to trust God. Be worthy of your children’s trust by being a parent of your word. Follow through on promises, be on time, and keep confidences.
Those who know your name trust in you, for you, O LORD, do not abandon those who search for you. Psalm 9:10 NLT
❤Exemplary Encouragement
Expect the best in your children. Praise positive behavior and good choices.
And now, dear brothers and sisters, one final thing. Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise. Philippians 4:8 NLT
