Wrapping Christmas Gifts with Love

Gift wrapping gets my creativity is high gear. Finding a great gift and wrapping the present entices the person receiving the gift to enjoy the presentation as much as the gift itself. I also like the gifts as decorations under the Christmas tree, to add a festive flair! Each gift reminds me of a special family member or friend I’ll see during the holidays.

Wrap gifts beautifully for family and loved ones.
A fun gift, wrapped in a manner that fits a person’s personality, is thoughtful. Take time to find an appropriate gift and wrap it in a way that shows you care.

Wrap with Personality
Add special touches to make the gift wrap as meaningful as the gift. My brother-in-law is a black lab dad, a red pick-up truck driver, and a marshmallow lover. The gift wraps takes into account all three attributes.

Wrap with Meaning
In my family, the number three has always meant, “I love you”. Attaching three candy canes to the bow adds meaning to the package. The red wrapping paper is a nod to my mom’s favorite color.

Wrap for Convenience
Out-of-town guests who travel by plane will have a more difficult time getting bulky gifts home. Wrap up a photo of the gift with a note when it will be delivered to their home after the holidays. A gift is still wrapped under the tree for Christmas, but nothing needs to be packed to go home.

Wrap with Ease
Don’t discount bags! Gift bags are terrific for hard to wrap items. They are also great for those who don’t particularly like to wrap presents. A cute bag, a few sheets of tissue paper, and a gift tag make a present special.

Gift Tags
Get creative with gift tags. Ornaments with names or initials are fun. Purchase ready to go tags and add ribbon or colorful string. Download free gift tags with scripture and easy gift tags for kids to decorate. Make you own tags. This is a fun activity for kids.

December Birthdays
Friends, don’t forget to make December birthdays for family members and friends special too. Use birthday gift wrap, not Christmas paper. Make the day as special as the person, especially if the birthday falls on December 24 or 25.

Wrap gifts beautifully for family and loved ones. More importantly, make your Christian walk beautiful in words and actions to draw others to you to share the hope you have in Jesus. Just as a lovely gift is warm and inviting, be kind and thoughtful to others, inviting them to share in the HOPE of Christmas, Jesus.
